Supported Operating Systems

macOS

The latest version of the app works on all macOS systems starting with 10.7 (Lion). You should only consider that depending on your macOS version you should choose one of two downloads:

• [Main] macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) and higher
• [Secondary] macOS 10.7 (Lion) through macOS 10.12 (Sierra)

While the secondary download is always an option, please consider updating your macOS to 10.13 High Sierra if possible. macOS 10.13 can be officially installed on:

• MacBook Pro (Mid 2010 or newer)
• MacBook Air (Late 2010 or newer)
• MacBook (Late 2009 or newer)
• iMac (Late 2009 or newer)
• Mac mini (Mid 2010 or newer)
• Mac Pro (Mid 2010 or newer)

The main download is a universal binary which means that it will work on both Intel and Apple Silicon macs.

Windows

Installing Windows on a mac is supported only for Intel x86 computers thus Macs Fan Control for Windows is Intel-only.

Windows 7/8/8.1/10 are supported both 32 and 64-bit. Windows 10 64-bit is highly recommended. Download for Windows XP/Vista

Not officially supported but users report that the app works correctly on x86 Hackintosh.

Linux

Not planned, but who knows. Linux support feature request
