Privacy Policy for Macs Fan Control

Macs Fan Control never collects any personally identifiable information.

When using the app as a free app, Macs Fan Control may only connect to crystalidea.com (once in 24 hours) when checking for updates (which is optional and can be turned off in the app preferences).

When checking for updates the app sends the following data to the server:

• App version (e.g. 1.5.16)
• Operating system version (e.g. macOS Catalina)
• Machine type (e.g. MacBookAir7,2)

When using activated (Pro) version, Macs Fan Control transmits some technical data to our license verification server crystalidea.license-manage.com on its startup.

Which information is sent? To correctly validate its license, the app sends the following data to the server:

• License key without user name/email meaning its impersonal and cannot be used to activate the app by anyone else
• App version (e.g. 1.5.16)
• Operating system version (e.g. macOS Catalina)
• CPU name (e.g. Apple M1 Pro), machine type (e.g. MacBookAir7,2) or motherboard name when running in Windows Boot Camp
